Let’s move on to the month’s news? Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, shared on twitter one of these days that the ninth season of the show has already been assured. Since the news came from her, I believe it to be 100% reliable! We’ll just have to wait and see if Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo will remain. Talking about twitter, many actors and producers use the communication tool to reach their public. @jessewilliams_ @JessicaCapshaw @TheDannyPino @Mariska @KaDeeStrick @TayeDiggs @katewalsh are some that I recommend following. They answer questions from fans, post pictures from the backstage and the best thing, they seldom release a spoiler!

With the end of the year approaching all the awards have been scheduled, like the People’s Choice that airs on January 11th 2012. Among shows, actors and actresses on the run, there’s also the new category New Favorite Show (Drama). The list is long: twelve productions dispute the public’s preference, among them Heart of Dixie, A Gifted Man (which seems to be the favorite), Pan Am, Revenge, The Secret Circle. I would vote for Revenge. What about you? The complete list with all the nominees is here. Important: It’s the public who votes!

Channel A&E has already confirmed the renewal of Breakout Kings for a second season at the first trimester of 2012. The show from the same creators of Prison Break is a success among the public and tells the story of a group of cops that recruits justice convicts to help and capture fugitives. If they fulfill the agreement, they’ll have their sentences reduced: each capture gives them one less month of sentence. If they try to escape, the sentences will be doubled. Here in Brazil the first season of Breakout Kings aired in June through A&E.

The show 24 might get an Indian version. The producer’s from the country are in negotiation with 20th Century Fox since April 2010 and rumors that the deal has been approved are strong. Actor Anil Kapoor (who played president Hassan on the original version) will play Jack Bauer. Fox’s international division chairwoman, Marion Edwards said that the project “matches India’s current condition, since it’s been a victim of terrorist attacks”. Now we have to wait for the project’s official divulgation and see if repeats the success of the original version. Taking into consideration the size of India’s cinematographic industry, I wouldn’t doubt it!

Chord Oversreet will return to the cast of GLEE. Sam’s return will only air in December at the USA. The character’s return promises to involve at least two main characters: Mercedes and Quinn. Who bets that the love triangle will generate a lot to talk about? Here in Brazil, GLEE’s third season premiers at Fox in November.

To finish, actress Jenna Elfman and actors Ryan Phillipe and John Hannah are confirmed in the cast of the fifth season of Damages (which should air in the Summer Season, in July 2012). I love Jenna and am very curious to see her at the last season of my dear show! Producers announced that besides an investigation case (with the invited actors), there will be the awaited confrontation between Ellen and Paty. I’m already anxious!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve done swatches around here, hasn’t it? It’s all fault of my disorganization, lol! But this kit arrived this week and I wanted to test it soon because I found the proposal very practical for the end of the year: there are four lipsticks, in easy yet still interesting shades to wear, that come in a very nice necessaire, for only R$34,90! A super nice gift for all the “secret friend” games that happen at this time of the year, isn’t it?

There are two coral shades and two pink ones. All, with the exception of the strongest of them, 35, are very dry and opaque. 27 reminded me a little of MAC’s Hue because of its color and not its finishing… I’ve always been mad with Hue because it almost doesn’t show on my lips!!! Pink 26 and 29 are very similar to each other, especially on the picture, but 29 goes a little more to the white side… it looks more “bright” on your lips, you know? And 35 is this BEAUTIFUL pinkish coral, which is also the easiest one to apply, since it’s creamier, but at the same time it must be the easiest one to come off from your lips, right? I really like the kit idea! A good tip for those who want to gift but are a little short on budget, isn’t it?

All it took was one phone call from the guys at Flats&Co for me to fall in love with their project. The new brand, from the same group of Empório Naka, is specialized in flats (duh!), which means: flats, oxfords, moccasins, sandals and sneakers, all flat and comfortable!! What made me like the project so much was the excitement of the crew while talking about their baby (a new project is just like a son, isn’t it?). The anxiety was contagious and made me super curious to know the products better!

When I was in SP I could check out personally the thousands of flats, the shiny sneakers and the super colorful bags! The brand is very fun, and I think they chose the right time for the launching, since all this color, shine and details really are the very look of summer. The idea is super practical: besides the comfortable shoes (but still pretty because comfort doesn’t mean we give up on the fashion side of it all, lol) they also sell bags, bijoux and other accessories, everything online, to be delivered at home and not having to visit any store.

Together with Camila and Carla I’ll be a part of a section that premiers soon at the website, Flatspedia, which will show a little more about each model. The hard thing was to select my favorites among the thousands of options in the website, but you can already notice my shine mania only by taking a look at the picture above, can’t you? There’s no escape, I love it!!

Here, friend, give me your hand. I know how much this sucks and disturbs a lot of people, but I know few people that suffer with ingrown hair like I did: on the back of my thighs! It only took the weather getting a little more warm for my skin to become full of little red spots, something very ugly, that often made me give up shorts and choose any other piece of clothing… I’ve always looked for solutions to the problem, and was very adept of the frequent exfoliations that everyone recommends, but it still was no good.

And then a dermatologist recommended me, at the beginning of the year, the Gel Forte from NeoStrata. I should apply the product twice a day and she assured me it would work once and for all. Researching a little about it, I discovered it is Glycolic acid, and that it chemically exfoliates the skin… It makes sense, doesn’t it? I’ve been using it since February and my legs have COMPLETELY changed since then!!! I didn’t know if I should recommend the gel here, since it might always have contraindications, but since it’s not considered a medication (you can buy it at Go Saude, remember it?), I think it is ok…

With it I use two products that I find to be very helpful: one is the Polishing Tool, from Sigma, that lives in my shower and that I use every other day. The other is the Sparkle Skin body exfoliator from Clinique. Something that I’ve also noticed is that the more I wear fresh clothes, the very shorts and skirts that I would avoid due to my skin being full of red dots, the less irritated it gets… ! It’s like a cycle, you know? I’ve already used almost two bottles of the Gel and I have already ordered the next one… It changed my skin a lot! Does anyone recommend any other product??
